Qualitative Insight Toolkit
The Qualitative Insight Toolkit was developed by the Qualitative Insight Team in Public Health to help you to capture the voice of communities in Wirral.
The toolkit and additional resources below provide practical guidance and templates to enhance your approach to collecting qualitative insight. These resources can be used to help you speak to residents to gather their thoughts, experiences, and ideas on particular subjects.
The toolkit guidance below follows five core stages of gathering qualitative insight: planning your approach, gathering qualitative insight, bringing your findings together, presenting your findings, and reflecting on your work. The appendices document provides example templates and additional guidance that you can use or adapt to suit your needs. All of the resources below can be accessed digitally or printed out.
A full version of the toolkit is provided that is particularly useful for people who are new to collecting qualitative insight and would like to understand the process from start to finish. Separate sections of the toolkit are also provided for people who want to direct their attention to specific sections of the toolkit.
