Over the past century, the number of centenarians living in England and Wales has increased 127-fold, reaching 13,924 in 2021.
Lauretta Boston from London celebrated her milestone 100th birthday in October 2022. She spoke to the ONS about her life and experience of being a centenarian living in England.
